Santa\'s family plays themselves in tv movie musical showing across U.S. and in dvd

Press Release Body = The latest surprise Santa pulled out of his bag is a Christmas
present to the community access television stations and their viewers across the
country. The movie is already slated to show in over forty communities during the
holidays. Over twenty states so far. From Portland, Maine to Boise, Idaho - from
Enid, Oklahoma to Napa, California - from Athens, Ohio to Vienna, Austria. Even
Auckland, New Zealand...

It\'s a \"give-back\" and a \"kid-thing\" for the Producer and his company, Calexas. \"I\'m
hoping the public access stations can generate more awareness and raise some funds
by sharing this with their communities.\" Battaile first learned video by checking
out a black-and-white vidicon camera and a separate reel-to-reel video tape recorder
from Austin Community Television. \"We had to drive the tapes to the top of a
mountain nearby and play them on equipment in a little shack at the base of a giant
antennae. Somewhat primitive.\"

That was about twenty-five years ago. Just about the time Zwerkin was perfecting his
Teleporter and taking a ride in Sandy\'s Anti-gravity Sleigh. \"We\'ve come a long way,
but the Santa family is still many decades ahead of us,\" Battaile smiled.

By special arrangement with Santa, Producer Robert Battaile has been able to gain
unusual access to the North Pole Estate and indeed the entire family. \"It was an
eye-opener, that\'s for sure,\" adds Battaile. \"As I expected, they\'re wonderful
people. Mrs. Claus is very beautiful.\"

Eldest son, Nicholas is the business manager who takes care of the accounting and
most everything nobody else wants to do. Klaus seems content to work with the
reindeer and not much else. Daughter, Sandy Claus is in charge of the thermal power
plant and \"special projects\" which is, I guess what Zwerkin is.

\"Zwerkin is the one who first told me the story back in 1980,\" adds Battaile.
Zwerkin\'s the inventor of the Teleportation Device that helps Santa get into houses
without chimneys. His kids sent an email to Santa about their single dad\'s problem
with his boss Snavely who was about to kick them out of their house. That\'s what
started it all.

When Sandy and them saw the email, they used the Perspectivity Window to rewind and
watch the Zwerkin family earlier in the day. \"I think it was love at first sight,\"
continues the movie maker, \"She and Klaus flew down there in Blaise - her
anti-gravity sleigh, and a day later Zwerkin was using his Teleporter to beam up to
the North Pole.\"

The show is a musical documentary with recreations of what happened. The Santa
family plays themselves. \"Everyone did a great job,\" allows Battaile. \"They\'re
really good singers.\" The only problem was Snavely (as expected). \"He thought his
part wasn\'t large enough, and he didn\'t like the way we filmed the final
confrontation scene.\" Snavely has a slightly exaggerated vision of himself and
anyway \"Santa had the final script approval.\"

\"Santa and Sons & Daughter!\" is a rockin\' family musical feature that has been in
three film festivals including the Starz! International Film Festival in Denver, the
Gloria Film-Video Festival in Salt Lake City, and Kidsfirst! Film-Video Festival
which runs in 25 cities this quarter and into next year. The movie has received an
Award of Excellence from Creative Child Magazine and approval to use the Dove
Foundation and the Kidsfirst! seals for quality family programs.
